I’ve always liked Daisy’s character from the Rock Chick series and was so thrilled to finally be able to read her story. She was such a sweetheart — I knew this from the other books in the series, but reading her story just affirmed all that. I realize that I actually LOVE her character. So much so, I want a Daisy in my life. Everyone needs someone like her. And can we talk about Marcus Sloan a minute? We’ve seen bits and pieces of him throughout the series, but not like we did with Daisy and certainly not like we did here. The way he handled Daisy after what happened to her…holy smokes — I think I’m in love. KA has quite the way with words. She manages to pull me in from the very first word and somehow connects me to her characters in a way that my belly twists at the emotion I feel right along with them. By far, my all-time favorite author! A definite must-read!
